CAMBODIA BAPTIST UNION ORPHANS PROJECT
  • Objectives:
    • To feed 60 orphan children in the local churches in 2021
    • To help them go to school
    • To help them with clothes and school uniforms.
    • To evangelize them with the gospel of Jesus Christ
    • To teach orphans to believe, to trust, and to depend on Jesus Christ
    • To help the local churches in making disciples of their orphan members

  • Obeying God's Word:
     Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27


  • The Problem with Orphans:
    • In Cambodia today, we find orphan children in 3 difference ways: in the orphanages, in the city street, and in the countryside villages.
    • CBU will not run the orphanages because the government and big organizations are doing this already.
    • However, street children are still found in some big city intersection roads and public places. These children have no school, no home, but are forced by poor parents and bad people to beg for money. Many of them are found at the city waste garbage places and street garbage collection digging for things to eat.
    • These children become orphans by divorced parent, broken families, dead parents, HIV parents, and parents who disappear by job seeking in far places.
